Social Isolation: Day 28
Today I was the virus spinning fevered what-ifs out of nothing, watching them heat up and multiply. Too much time inside. Around the neighborhood I go to clear my head. Crisp air, fast pace and, finally, sun. I remember a Zen story in which every what-if is met with Is that so? Is that so? I ask each dark thought, each imagined outcome, my version of the past. Only the sun and the soaring hawks answer, for now, yes. Sherry Robbins, April 14, 2020
