Letters for Astrid
Dear Astrid,
Two things happened
so far this morning.
A mouse fell in the pool,
swam to a ladder,
sat on the top rung
and wondered what
to do. Tom helped
it out. He’ll help
you, too, when you are here.
And, in the park,
a flock of geese
flew so low
over the treetops
that I couldn’t see them
for the leaves. They
honked and honked,
though, to announce
their landing.
They have to decide soon
whether to stay
the winter here, or fly
down south to meet you.
I already know
which option I will choose.

The sweetest. I see a children’s book(s) in your future

Thanks, Al, that would be fun. Need a good illustrator, though.
